Seventy years ago a fire on a ship moored in Texas City, near Houston, turned into the worst industrial disaster in US history.
Orange smoke from flames, initially believed to be in a grain cargo, on the former Liberty ship Grandcamp drew hundreds of onlookers and the entire Texas City fire department on 16 April 1947.
But they were wrong about the cargo.
