I summited Mount Everest at the age of 55 on 19 May this year. It was the culmination of five years of hard work since I began climbing seriously, with my wife, Sangeeta. I have now completed the highest mountains on six of the seven continents.
Besides the 29,029ft Everest (Asia), I have climbed Alaska’s 20,310ft Denali (North America); Argentina’s 22,838ft Aconcagua (South America); southern Russia’s 18,510ft Elbrus (Europe); Antarctica’s 16,050ft Vinson; and Tanzania’s 19,341ft Kilimanjaro (Africa).
