Google Sea View

After photographing much of the known world from cameras strapped to the tops of their cars, Google’s Street View team have tried out their sea legs.

Google has used the same technology to produce a virtual tour of the world’s largest cruiseship, the 1,090-berth Allure of the Seas (built 2010).

Google snapped over 20,000 pictures during an eight-day period to complete what is likely to be a one-off project.

"Consumers go online to research their vacations and this is the closest they can get to actually being onboard," Royal Caribbean UK spokeswoman Jo Briody told USA Today.
