Blaustein died Monday at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, after a battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He was 71.
The respected industry veteran had worked for seven years at the former OMI Corp, serving as senior Vice President of OMI Marine Services at his departure in 2004.
Earlier in his career, he had headed the New York office of Zim, the Israeli owner, and had been a manager with Zodiac Maritime.
