Sydney Ferries boss Rear Admiral Geoff Smith has got the chop over alleged misuse of a corporate credit card believed to be in excess of AUD 50,000 ($39,000).
Despite the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) having yet to report on its own investigations into allegations raised by a whistleblower, New South Wales transport minister David Campbell said on Wednesday that Smith would leave immediately.
