A huge fleet of up to 1,800 unmanned spray ships could be a solution to global warming.

Edinburgh University engineering professor, Stephen Salter, has put forward the idea of an armada of ships prowling the worlds oceans spraying tiny droplets of seawater into the cloud layer.

The idea is that larger whiter clouds would reflect more solar radiation so cooling the earth and compensating for the greenhouse effect.
