Readers of TradeWinds, it seems, are no different following the sale yesterday of the largest ship ever built.



The 555,843-dwt Knock Nevis (ex-Jahre Viking) changed hands for the first time since 2004 when it was sold to a Malaysian bunkering outfit.



Eagle-eyed readers noticed we referred to it as the world’s former largest ship, but is there some mistake? After all, if nothing bigger has ever been rolled out by a shipyard and the vessel has not been scrapped, what has stripped the enormous unit of its coveted title?
