AMA Capital Partners is riding the rising tide of restructurings in the shipping and offshore sectors but the merchant bank’s chief executive says the company has not abandoned its private equity unit.

When TradeWinds WebTV caught up with Paul Leand at the Capital Link Forum in New York, he admitted the private equity side of the company has not seen heavy volume in the past five years but intends to “pick and choose some opportunities in the private equity market” going forward.
