London’s Nautical Institute has appointed captain John Lloyd as its new chief executive officer.
Lloyd will take over from Philip Wake, who is retiring after 14 years in post.
The institute’s new boss has been a member for 30 years and served as chief operating officer in his previous role.
Lloyd said: “I am delighted to be leading the next phase of development at the Nautical Institute, at a time of great change for our industry.
