The International Maritime Employers’ Council (IMEC) has maintained its 50% discount on membership fees for a second year.
The decision was taken at the annual general meeting in Athens in consideration of the continued downturn in the trading market.
Chief executive Francesco Gargiulo says he can continue to run the organisation on reduced revenue for a second year “as long as this is a temporary measure and we tighten our belts”.
