A Trinidad shipowner has claimed its ro-ro was intentionally put out of action by a deliberate attack - by lemon.

Bridgemans Services Group said a whole fruit was flushed down the vacuum systems on its 20,000-gt Cabo Star (built 1988) on 2 November during a trip from Scarborough to Port-of-Spain, the Trinidad Guardian reported.

Truckers said all the toilets in the cabins and public area were closed.
