Cosco Shipping is one of three shipowners that have just been fined by Canadian authorities for speeding in the Gulf of St Lawrence.

Cosco’s 180,145-dwt New Shanghai (built 2011) along with Wagenborg’s 17,407-dwt Azoresborg (built 2010) and Carisbrooke Shipping’s 12,914-dwt Jacqueline C (built 2009) have all been fined CAD 6,000 ($4,717) for alleged non-compliance with a temporary mandatory vessel slowdown.
