A German cargoship has been refloated after grounding off Sweden with a wood cargo.

The country's coast guard said the 6,800-dwt, Worden-managed Halland (built 2008) got stuck outside Monsteras on Tuesday.

A technical fault is believed to be behind the grounding, according to Fredrik Tyren, coast guard rescue leader.

No oil has leaked, and the ship is currently intact.

Tyren said the part of the hull that is stuck is relatively far from bunker tanks.
