All crew were reported safe on Friday after a fire broke out on a tanker in Indonesia.

The incident occurred on the 2,700-dwt Srikandi 511 (built 2013), which was docked in Banjamarsin on the River Barito.

The ship was loading diesel, local media said.

The blaze spread quickly from tank three to tank four.

But firefighters brought it under control within two and a half hours

Burning oil leaked into the river and drifted downstream, slightly damaging four Pertamina tankers.

Heavy damage was reported to Srikandi 511.
