Police in Piraeus were examining the remains of a home-made bomb that detonated outside an unnamed shipping company's office in Piraeus, Greece.

The blast happened shortly before 2am on Monday.

The Ekathimerini daily said the explosion caused no injuries. The extent of damage was unclear.

Sources said the device was placed in a box containing the company's telephone lines.
