The Yemen navy has thwarted what it is says was another potential attack on shipping by Houthi rebels.

The Khaleej Times said that the group had launched a boat booby-trapped with a bomb in the Red Sea.

A military source in the region said the navy seized the vessel, which was heading towards international waters.

The source added that it was carrying explosive devices at 35 miles per hour.
