The US Coast Guard (USCG) says the 50,300-dwt Equator Harmony (ex- Desert Hawk, built 1999) was held by inspectors off Alameda, California, when its crew failed to perform what inspectors described as a “satisfactory” fire drill.

According to data from Equasis the same vessel, which is flagged in the Lion City and classed by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, ran afoul of port authorities in France on 20 March and was cited for six deficiencies related to accommodations, propulsion, navigation and accident prevention.
