Another two men were injured in the fire, which started during welding work on the 3,400-dwt Jul (built 1971) on 31 August, Maritime Bulletin reported.
The vessel was docked at a repair yard in Izmail.
The blaze destroyed its superstructure.
Firefighters took most of the day to bring the fire under control.
The ship is operated by F&F of Riga.
