The 54-year-old man was airlifted from the 31,000-dwtJohn B. Aird (built 1983) on Tuesday afternoon at Port Colborne.
“It was reported he fell anywhere between 10 and 17 metres,” said local firechief Tom Cartwright.
The man was a subcontractor installing scaffolding in the hold. His injurieswere not considered life-threatening.
