Orlova gets a tow

The drifting cruiseship Lyubov Orlova has finally been taken under tow again off Canada.

Orlova: back under tow

The 4,300-gt derelict vessel (built 1976) was heading north off Newfoundland with the 3,200-gt Sea Hawk (built 2000) on Friday.

Transport Canada said the immediate priority was to move it away from offshore facilities.

The vessel was at one point 11 kilometres from the Hibernia platform.

No final decision has been made on where it will taken.

The vessel left St John's last Wednesday en route to the Caribbean for scrapping, but its tow line broke.
