The 6,500-teu NYK Themis (built 2008) collidedwith the barge AZ Fuzhouat East Keppel Fairway at about 4 km south ofMarina South.
Thebarge was being towed by tug AZ Carnation at the time of the incident whichtook place at about 0410 hours on Thursday.
“NYKThemis reported that one of her bunker tanks sustained damage, resulting insome spillage of bunker fuel,” Singapore’sMaritime and Port Authority (MPA) said.
