The Dutch firm won the government tender to remove the shipwhich lies under busy shipping lanes approaching the port of Rotterdam.

Along with its partner Mammoet Salvage, Boskalis willattempt to raise the wreck of the 2007-built ship by the end of next year.

Work includes removal of the entire wreck, its cargo and540,000 liters of fuel oil, Boskalis said today.

A diving support vessel, tugs, barges and sheerlegs will bedeployed as well as equipment from SMIT joint venture Asian Lift and Boskalis heavyliftsubsidiary Dockwise.
