The US Coast Guard said today that the 82,952-dwtMokpo Star (built 2002) grounded just north of an anchorage off Astoria, Oregon, at about 1630 local time and came free with the incoming tide at 2250.

The ship, which is listed as controlled by Seoul-based Dusung Shipping, has been ordered to remain at anchorage until an inspection confirms that it is not damaged.
