Local reports said the 74,000-dwt Paraskevi (built 2003) gotstuck in the Parana river on 11 March.
Passage was blocked to ships of up to 120 metres in length,with Bloomberg reporting 18 vessels were backed up in the river.
Lightering was planned.
The latest satellite data shows the Safety Management Overseasship at anchor, lying across the western half of the river.
