The owner of a Portuguese-flagged tanker has agreed to pay $1.3m to settle the cost of damage to a US bridge.
Sechste Nordtank Hamburg's 16,609-dwt Harbour Feature (built 2011), operated by Nordic Tankers, hit the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge in New Hampshire on 1 April last year after breaking free of its moorings.
The departments of transportation for Maine and New Hampshire announced the settlement this week.
