The crew of 23 on the 27,300-dwt CN Jumbos (built 1995)had prepared to abandon ship after the incident involving the 45,000-dwt bulker AntonTopic (built 1996) on 30 March near Ko Rin island.
CN Jumbos, operated by Franco Naviera of Greece, was initially takingon water at the rate of 20 centimetres per hour and developed a list of fivedegrees, but was later stabilised.
