Civil ProtectionDepartment personnel were called to the yard when the 172,515-dwt Cape Tavor(built 1999) was said to have caught on fire.
The Liberian-flagged bulker is said to be owned byXT Group, which used to be Israel’s Ofer Holdings Group.
Five fire engines were called in to put out the fire. No injuries werereported. The extent of the damage to the ship was unknown.
