The 265,000-cbf Green Freezer (built 1991) ran into trouble off Faskruosfjorour, in the East Fjords.
The ship is managed by Silver Green a 50:50 joint venture between Green Shipping, formerly Green Reefers, and Silver Sea.
This is the second vessel to run aground in the same area in less than a month.
