The salvage operation for the 547-teu Yusuf Cepnioglu (built 1995) lasted a little more than six months.
It was impossible to tow the whole of the ship from the rocky area where it ran aground, so the salvage company decided to separate it into three parts.
The refloating of the last part of the containership was completed this week, while no serious pollution was noticed.
