Yard authorities said the devastation was still being tallied.
"Most of the high-rise roofs of the workshops, dry dock, hull shop and pre-fabrication shops in the shipyard were blown off and the equipment was badly damaged," the company said in a statement.
"Many vehicles were damaged in the shipyard and the situation was similar in the HSL employees' colony in the vicinity."
