The man went overboard from the 10,000-dwt Sea Orchid (built 1997) 20 miles from Hanstholm on 11 January.
Two rescue helicopters were sent to search for the crew member, and eventually his body was spotted in the water and recovered.
The ship was en route from Lubeck to Algeria.
The crew were questioned by Danish authorities, Politiken reported.
The ship is operated by Stavros Roussos Management of Greece.
