It fell around 20 metres and rolled over on its side, crushing one person inside and three people who were standing on top of it.
Three workers died instantly and one was trapped for two hours, but was later pronounced dead.
The victims were all in their late 50s or early 60s.
The yard was sold by Dae Sun Shipbuilding last year, the Korea Herald said.
