The Norwegian shipowner said discharge was expected to start late on Monday or Tuesday and continue over the next days.
“We expect the final approval from the authorities today and that the discharge operation can start later today or tomorrow and be completed at the end of this week or early next week,” it confirmed in a statement on Monday.
Hoegh said UK authorities have performed their inspections and controls of the vessel over the last few days and confirm that there are only “minor damages to the vessel.”
