The 1,150-dwt Pasha (built 1971) had been towed to a jetty along the Marmara coast in September 2013 after a cargo shift caused it to capsize.
The ship, which had already been declared a total loss, was battered by 100mph winds on Monday, the Deniz Haber website reported
In the Gulf of Izmit, the 3,100-dwt Gulfem Kalkavan (built 1979) dragged its anchor near Tuzla Shipyards and grounded.
