The security man's body was discovered floating in the sea at New Port in Victoria last Thursday.
A police statement said: “According to information it was one of his colleagues who were fishing at that time who heard a splash in the sea and saw him floating,” the Seychelles News Agency reported.
The man was named as Kivi Meelis. He was described as a security guard on the 2,207–teu Julie Delmas (built 2002), chartered by CMA CGM .
