The 1,200–dwt Scan Master (built 1972) is stuck on a rocky beach in the Snillfjord off Norway.

An attempt to refloat the ship is scheduled for Wednesday, local reports said.

But the cargo of fish waste will need to be lightered first. There are also 15cbm of diesel on board.

Two tug masters have been on the vessel to check conditions.

The tanker is operated by Grontvedt Shipping of Norway.
