Due to severe weather conditions, the 6,387-gt Vitsentzos Kornaros (built 1976) hit the quay of the Kasos port in the southern Aegean sea after 10pm yesterday.
Winds that reached seven to eight on the Beaufort scale dragged the ship to the port’s breakwater, where it got trapped.
Speaking on a Greek TV channel this morning, the captain of Vitsentzos Kornaros said all passengers are safe and there is no water influx or pollution.
