The Albanian men were trying to swim 500 metres back to shore from the 64,000-gt Stena Britannica (built 2010) off Felixstowe in February.
Artur Doda, 24, died instantly from multiple injuries after being hit by the propeller.
Leonard Isufaj, 27, drowned in strong currents, the Guardian reported.
The two men had been put on the ferry after arriving with 13 other stowaways hidden in a lorry on another ship five hours previously.
