The 7,700–dwt Balsa 85 (built 2011) is docked at Saint John after arriving at the PotashCorp terminal on Saturday, CTV reported.
Three men are in intensive care, while 11 others are said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Health officers say the men have ciguatera fish poisoning, which is caused by eating tropical fish that consumed toxin-producing algae.
Five seafarers who did not eat the fish are not ill.
