The 15,200-dwt Mississagi(built 1943) suffered the casualty in the St Marys River near De Tour Village early today, the US Coast Guard said.
There were no injuries or signs of pollution. The ship’s bow was aground, and fuel tanks are aft, the agency said. Coast Guard Senior Chief Alan Haraf tells TradeWinds that there is no significant damage tot he Mississagi.
