South Korea’s DSME has been hit by a second fatal fire on a VLGC in less than three months.
The blaze broke out on an 85,000-cbm newbuilding at the loss-making yard’s Geoje plant on Tuesday, killing one worker and injuring seven others, local media reported.
The Yonhap news agency said the fire was extinguished after an hour.
The dead man, who was in his fifties, died after inhaling toxic fumes.
