A woman fell from a Norwegian Cruise Line ship late Thursday evening.
The US Coast Guard said the incident occurred 41 kilometres off the coast of Cuba onboard the 2,384-berth Norwegian Pearl (built 2006).
As of Friday, the US Coast Guard was still searching for the unidentified woman.
Norwegian Cruise Line said the cruise was chartered for the Mad Decent Boat Party, an electronic music event.
