The Singapore offshore vessel owner's 5,000-bhp Swiber Torunn (built 2008) grounded off Dos Bocas port in Paraiso, in the Gulf of Mexico state of Tabasco, according to local media.
Tracking data from MarineTraffic.com show the offshore vessel remains at the site as of this writing.
Local newspaper Presente reports that the Marshall Islands-flagged AHTS was headed for a dock when it was pushed aground by strong winds.
Fifteen crew members remain onboard. Swiber could not be reached for comment for this story.
There are no reports of damage, and mobile phone video shows that the grounding took place at the site of a sandy beach.
The vessel is managed by Vallianz Holdings’ Mexico subsidiary. Classed by Bureau Veritas, it has protection-and-indemnity insurance from the Shipowners’ Club.
