A US judge has refused to throw out a lawsuit against New Orleans Terminal (NOT) over the MSC Flaminia tragedy.
District Judge Carl Barbier ruled in favour of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC)-backed container terminal operator’s motions to throw out two claims by the containership’s owner and manager – a shipowning affiliate of Germany’s Conti Reederi and compatriot shipmanager NSB Niederelbe.
