Cars, trucks and cargo have been severely damaged after an Irish Ferries ro-pax was battered by a storm en route to Dublin.

The Afloat website said the 26,400-gt Epsilon (built 2011) sailed from Cherbourg in France on Sunday into Storm Imogen.

It was hit by gusts of up to 105 knots and had to divert into safer waters off the north Devon coast.
