Seafarer plunges into hold of Chinese bulker in rough seas off Vietnam.

A seafarer has died after falling into the hold of a Chinese bulker off Vietnam.

Rough seas and strong winds were blamed for the incident on the 57,000-dwt Hony Future (built 2012), 150 nautical miles from Vung Tau on Monday.

It was en route from Iran to China.

The captain of the vessel, managed by Honlucky Hong Kong of Fujian, China, told Thanh Nien News that two crewmen had fallen into the hold.

Yu Jiannan died soon later while Ding Guandong suffered serious injuries.
