There are fears of pollution in the Arctic after a tanker carrying around 6,800 tons of diesel fuel ran aground on Thursday.
The 9,215-dwt chemical tanker Nanny (built 1993) is stuck in the Northwest Passage following the incident, Canada’s Coast Guard reported.
No fuel or cargo are said to have leaked as yet from the ship which is also believed to be undamaged.
