US-based T&T Salvage has been hired to help refloat a Team Tankers ship that ran aground off the coast of Uruguay, the country’s National Navy said.

The casualty involving the 44,600-dwt chemical and products tanker Siteam Anja (built 1997) is “under control” four days after it ran aground off Isla de Lobos.

The epoxy-coated ship, which is Oslo-listed Team’s second-oldest vessel, is carrying a cargo of vegoil.
