National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has asked a US judge to issue a summary judgment that would free it from a $13m injury lawsuit by a docker injured by a used forklift that was shipped on the ro-ro.

The shipowner’s lawyers say the injuries of Baltimore longshoreman Jordan Armstrong, who was injured while on the 4,070-lane-metre Saudi Tabuk (built 1983), were caused not by Bahri but by a defect in the cargo that the company was not aware of.
