A CoscoCS containership has become the third vessel to make contact with the side of the expanded Panama Canal within a month of it opening.
The 8,530-teu Xin Fei Zhou (built 2008) hit a wall in the new lane of the waterway, Reuters reported, citing a canal authority official and a ship agent.
The vessel is undergoing repairs after gashing its hull.
